the idea for this work in progress video work came from when i was in a seminar in january and the girl sitting in-front of me started filming me among other people,as a part of her "selfie". i hid my face with my hands so my face wont show in the picture, but only later discovered through a friend of mine that the girl who took the selfie had posted it to the main page of the organization we were in (the one holding the seminar).

the original picture mainly shows her and my hidden face, almost like she purposefully took the picture so it shows me hiding my face.

i dont know this girl, but this project is a tribute to her actions, what they triggered in me, and what leads a person to turn themselves and others into objects- into a representation or photocopy of themselves, instead of the real,physical,untraceable matter.
